Vidalia Onion Casserole

INGREDIENTS |
- 2 pounds sausage

1/2 teaspoon salt
-
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt

1 stack Ritz crackers, coarsely crushed
-
5 large Vidalia onions, sliced round
-
1 small jar pimientos
-
3/4 cup water
-
2 (101/2-ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup

1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded

INSTRUCTIONS |
Brown sausage and add salts. In a large ovenproof dish, cover bottom with a layer of crackers. Layer onions, more crackers, meat, and pimientos in dish. Continue alternating layers of meat and onions until they’re gone. Mix water and soup; pour over layers. Cook at 350° for 45 minutes. Remove casserole after 30 minutes and top with cheese; bake for remaining 15 minutes. |
