Toasted Green Beans

INGREDIENTS |
- 2 cans green beans

¼ cup chopped onion

½ cup butter
-
¼ cup flour
-
1 tsp. salt

2 cups milk
-
1 cup crushed corn flakes
-
½ cup grated swiss cheese
|
INSTRUCTIONS |
Heat beans thoroughly; drain well. Sauté onion in butter until golden. Stir in flour and salt to make a paste. Add milk; cook until sauce is smooth and thick, stirring constantly. Mix sauce and beans together and place in a casserole dish. Sprinkle cornflake crumbs and cheese over top. Bake at 375° until bubbly and the cheese has melted. |
