Blackberry Roll

INGREDIENTS |
- 2 cups self-rising flour

4 tablespoons shortening
-
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese

1/3 cup milk
-
2½ cups blackberries
-
½ cup sugar
-
1/3 cup brown sugar

INSTRUCTIONS |
Cut shortening into flour with a pastry blender. Mix in cheese. Add milk and blend with a fork. Roll the dough to a rectangle 1/3 inch thick. Mix together the sugars and berries. Spread over dough. Roll up like a jelly roll and bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with sour cream or ice cream.
