Savory Sweet Roast

INGREDIENTS |
- 3- to 4-pound blade roast

1 onion, sliced

1 (10 3/4-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup water

1/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup vinegar
-
2 teaspoons salt
-
1 teaspoon mustard
-
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

INSTRUCTIONS |
Brown meat on both sides in skillet. Add onions. Blend together remaining ingredients. Pour over meat. Cover and simmer for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until tender.
Juice can be used for gravy or to cook noodles in after the roast is done.
Roast can also be cooked in a slow cooker on low heat for 12 to 16 hours. |
