Pancakes and Waffles - Indian Summer Breakfast



INGREDIENTS
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 slices whole wheat bread
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup light cream (half-and-half)
  • 2 tablepoons honey
  • 1 ripe pear

INSTRUCTIONS
Beat egg and milk; soak bread slices in mixture. Melt butter in a shallow non-stick pan and grill bread slices on both sides.
Blend honey and cream until frothy. Slice pear in thin slices and arrange on grilled bread. Drizzle with honey mixture.
Yield: One to two servings.
