Meats & Seafood - Tropical Steak



INGREDIENTS
  • 6 pieces tenderized cubed steak
  • Flour to dredge
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup seedless raisins
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup pineapple tidbidts (with juice)
  • 4 tablespoons peanut oil

INSTRUCTIONS
Quickly brown steak in oil. Add enough flour to absorb remaining oil. Lower heat and add 1 cup water; stir to make gravy. Add more water later, if needed, to keep gravy from sticking.
Add vegetables and fruit. Cover and cook slowly until steak and vegetables are tender. Check often to prevent sticking and burning.
