Poultry and Eggs - Oven "Open Sesame" Chicken

INGREDIENTS
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound)
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup bread, cracker, or cornflake crumbs

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine sesame seeds, seasonings, and crumbs. Dip chicken breasts in butter and roll in crumb mixture. Place in a greased 9- by 9- by 2-inch baking dish.

Mix any leftover crumbs with butter and sprinkle on chicken. Cover dish with foil. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.

Note: For a fall tailgate party, make this dish ahead of time, chill in a cooler, and serve as picnic fare or on rolls as a sandwich.
