Pineapple-Orange Gooey Cake

INGREDIENTS |
- Crust:

1 orange supreme cake mix
-
1 egg
-
1 stick butter or margarine, melted

Filling:
-
1 (8-ounce) package softened cream cheese
-
1 (16-ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained

3 eggs
-
1 stick butter or margarine, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla
-
1 (16-ounce) package powdered sugar

INSTRUCTIONS |
Combine ingredients, mix well, and press into greased 9-x-13-inch pan. Set aside. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and melted butter or margarine. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Add pineapple and blend well. Pour mixture into prepared, unbaked crust. Bake at 350° for 40-50 minutes (cake should be slightly “shaky” in the center). Cool and cut into 2-x-2-inch squares. Note: This recipe can very easily to changed to different flavors. Peanut Butter-Chocolate Gooey Cake: Use a chocolate cake mix in crust and use 1 cup creamy peanut butter instead of pineapple in filling. Double Chocolate Gooey Cake: Use chocolate cake mix in crust recipe and add 2 tablespoons cocoa in filling recipe. |
