Cookies and Candy - Christmas Cookies



INGREDIENTS
  • 1 pound dates
  • 1/2 pound candied cherries
  • 1/2 pound candied pineapple
  • 1/2 pound pecans
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten

INSTRUCTIONS
Finely chop dates, cherries, pineapple, and pecans. Sift flour and other dry ingredients together. Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs and stir into flour mixture. Add fruits and nuts. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325° for 10 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet.
