Candy Bar Fudge

INGREDIENTS |
- 6 (2.07-ounce) Snickers candy bars

3 cups sugar

3/4 cup butter

2/3 cup evaporated milk

2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips

1 (7-ounce) jar marshmallow cream
-
1 teaspoon vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS |
Line a 9-inch square pan with foil. Butter the foil and set aside. Cut candy bars into 1/2-inch slices and set aside. In a heavy saucepan, bring sugar, butter, and milk to a boil over medium heat. Cook and stir constantly until candy thermometer reads 234° (soft-ball stage), about five minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate chips, marshmallow cream, and vanilla. Stir until smooth and glossy. Pour half of mixture into foil-lined pan. Sprinkle candy bar slices over chocolate and top with remaining chocolate mixture; spread evenly. Allow candy to stand at room temperature to cool. Lift out of pan and cut into squares. Yield: Four pounds. |
