Desserts - Easy Caramel Walnut Candy



INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 13/4 to 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 cup California walnuts, chopped

INSTRUCTIONS
Melt butter and add brown sugar. Cook over low heat for two minutes, stirring constantly. Add milk and continue cooking and stirring until mixture boils. Remove from heat. Cool slightly.
Gradually add powdered sugar until mixture is thick and creamy. Add nuts. Spread mixture in a greased 8-x-8-x-2-inch pan. Cool. Yield: 36 pieces.
