Recipe of the Month Breads, Rolls, and Muffins - Pumpkin Bread



INGREDIENTS
  • 31/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 21/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 2 cups cooked, mashed pumpkin
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup Crisco oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

INSTRUCTIONS
Mix the first eight ingredients. Add pumpkin, eggs, oil, and water. Mix well until smooth. Add nuts and vanilla; mix until all ingredients are combined. Bake in three or four greased, small loaf pans in a 350ยบ oven for about an hour.
