Desserts - Swedish Apple Pie

  • 6-8 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Sprinkle apples with cinnamon and sugar; place in a 9-inch pie plate (no crust).
Cream butter, sugar, salt and egg together. Mix in flour. Spread over apples. Sprinkle nuts over all. Bake at 350ยบ for 40-45 minutes. Serve with whipped cream.
Yield: Six to eight servings.
