Recipe of the Month Desserts - Bird Nests



INGREDIENTS
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 2 cups thin pretzel sticks, lightly crushed
  • Choice of nuts for filling

INSTRUCTIONS
Coat a six-cup muffin pan with cooking spray. Put the chocolate in a heat-proof bowl and set on a saucepan of simmering water (do not let the bowl touch the water.) Stir until melted and smooth.
Remove the bowl from the pan and stir in the broken pieces of pretzel sticks. Scoop chocolate mixture into the prepared muffin cups. Make an indentation in each to form a nest. Chill until set, at least three hours.
Fill with your favorite nuts or candy that look like bird eggs.
