Desserts - Crescent Peach Dumplings

  • 1 (8-ounce) can crescent roll dough
  • 1 large ripe peach, peeled, cut in half, and seeded
  • 8 dashes nutmeg (1 for each dumpling)
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 11/4 cups peach nectar or peach juice

Unroll crescent roll dough; separate into eight triangles. Cut the peach into eight slices. Place one slice in the center of each roll. Sprinkle nutmeg over each peach slice. Roll to enclose the peach. Arrange dumplings in a greased 9-x-13-inch baking dish.
Combine butter, sugar, and peach nectar or juice in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Pour mixture over the dumplings. Bake at 350ยบ for 30 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before serving.
