Desserts - Honey Bars



INGREDIENTS
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 11/4 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Icing:
  • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2-4 tablespoons melted butter or margarine

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350º. Mix all ingredients until evenly blended. Press into a well-greased cookie sheet pan; bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
Icing:
Mix icing ingredients until well blended and thin enough to spread. Spread on warm bars. Cut bars and remove from pan.
