Meats & Seafood - Smothered Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Breasts



INGREDIENTS
  • 4 whole chicken breasts, seasoned with salt, pepper, paprika
  • 4 large mushrooms, sliced
  • 8 slices uncooked bacon
  • 2-3 cloves garlic
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (10-ounce) can undiluted mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup white wine, optional

INSTRUCTIONS
Coat a 9-x-13-inch pan with butter-flavored cooking spray. Slice garlic and onion into quarters and place in pan. Wrap each chicken breast with 2 slices of uncooked bacon and place in the pan.
Mix together sour cream and soup; spoon half the mixture over chicken breasts. Place mushroom slices on top of each. Cover with remaining sour cream/soup mixture. If desired, pour wine around the chicken breasts. Bake at 325ยบ for three hours. This can be made ahead and refrigerated.
