Fresh Peach Cake

- 1 cup white sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 cup butter

2 eggs

1 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon baking soda

21/2 cups flour

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups diced fresh peaches

Topping:
-
1/2 cup sugar
-
1 teaspoon cinnamon
-
1/2 cup chopped nuts

INSTRUCTIONS |
Cream together sugars and butter. Add eggs, buttermilk, and baking soda; mix well. Add flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt; beat very well. Fold in peaches. Pour into a 9-x-13-inch pan. Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over cake batter. Bake at 350ยบ for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve warm with fresh peaches and milk. |
