Poultry and Eggs -
Dixie Eggs

INGREDIENTS |
- 1 dozen eggs, hard-boiled
-
1 pound bacon
-
1/4 pound processed cheese
-
1/2 cup flour
-
24 biscuits
-
Salt and pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS |
Fry bacon until crisp and reserve drippings. In an oblong casserole dish, slice eggs, crumble bacon, and chop cheese.
Heat bacon drippings in skillet until hot. Add 1/2 cup flour, salt, and pepper. Brown slightly then add water or milk to make gravy. Pour gravy over bacon, egg, and cheese mixture in casserole dish.
Bake at 400° F. until bubbly in center. Serve spooned over hot biscuits. |
