Hot Spiced Tea

INGREDIENTS |
- 2 cups sugar

2 cups water

3 quarts water
-
2 sticks cinnamon, broken in half

2 heaping teaspoons whole cloves

1 heaping teaspoon allspice
-
1 teaspoon ginger
-
3 tablespoons tea leaves
-
1 medium can pineapple juice
-
4 oranges
-
3 lemons

INSTRUCTIONS |
Dissolve 2 cups sugar in 2 cups water and boil for five minutes. To 3 quarts water, add broken cinnamon sticks, cloves, allspice, and ginger and bring to a boil. Add tea leaves. Cover, remove from heat, and allow mixture to steep for five minutes. Strain immediately through a cloth. Combine hot tea with sugar syrup. Heat together pineapple juice and fresh-squeezed juice of the oranges and lemons. Combine tea and juices.
