Teriyaki Burgers

INGREDIENTS |
- 1/2 pound ground beef

2 green onions, finely sliced

2 tablespoons finely chopped green pepper

2 tablespoons chopped water chestnuts

2 teaspoons soy sauce

2 teaspoons lemon juice
-
4 teaspoons water

2 teaspoons brown sugar
-
Generous pinch of ground ginger

Basting sauce:
-
2 teaspoons brown sugar
-
2 teaspoons soy sauce

INSTRUCTIONS |
Mix together lightly all the ingrediens except those for basting sauce. Shape into patties; broil or pan-fry as desired. Just before hamburgers are done, brush with basting sauce and cook for a few minutes longer. |
