Meats & Seafood - Quick Cheese Loaves



INGREDIENTS
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 3/4 cups fresh bread crumbs
  • 3/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon basil
  • 1 (10 3/4-ounce) can vegetarian vegetable soup
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup Swiss cheese, cubed
  • 1 pint (16 ounces) meatless spaghetti sauce

INSTRUCTIONS
Lightly mix together all ingredients except cheese and spaghetti sauce.

Shape into eight small loaves and place in a baking pan. Press cheese cubes into each loaf. Pour sauce over loaves.

Bake at 400° for 35 minutes or until browned. Can be reheated and also freezes well.

Yield: Eight servings.
