Spaghetti Sauce

INGREDIENTS |
- 1 clove garlic, chopped

1/2 bushel tomatoes

3 pounds (2 large) onions, chopped

4 green peppers, chopped

1 cup olive oil

1 cup sugar
-
1/3 cup salt
-
1 tablespoon each basil, oregano, and parsley

5 (12-ounce) cans tomato paste

INSTRUCTIONS |
Cook tomatoes with peelings on; strain through colander. Add garlic, pepper, and onions. Cook 1 1/2 hours. Add sugar, salt, spices, oil, and tomato paste and cook 45 minutes over medium heat. Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal. Yield: 6-8 quarts. |
