Sauces and Marinades -
Anti-Cancer Marinade
|
INGREDIENTS |
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
-
6 tablespoons olive oil
-
4 tablespoons cider vinegar
-
3 medium cloves garlic, crushed
-
3 tablespoons grainy mustard
-
4 tablespoons lemon juice
-
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
|
INSTRUCTIONS |
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl or plastic bag with a zipper. Add the meat of your choice; coat all sides. Marinate for five to 10 minutes or longer to intensify flavors. Remove meat from marinade and place on hot grill. Remove meat from grill as soon as it’s done. Note: I found this recipe in a nutrition column which explained that when meat, poultry, and fish are grilled or barbecued over high heat, cancer-causing agents are produced in the meat. The cancer threat is reduced when meat is marinated before grilling. |
