Recipe of the Month Desserts - The Hulk Shake


DESCRIPTION
September 2011 winning recipe

INGREDIENTS
  • • 2 large avocados
  • • 13/4 cups whole milk
  • • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • • 2 large scoops vanilla bean or homestyle vanilla ice cream
  • • Whipped cream, shaved dark chocolate, and chopped mint for garnish
  • The ‘No Bulk’ Hulk Shake
  • • 2 cups skim milk
  • • 2 scoops vanilla lowfat frozen yogurt
  • • 2 tablespoons Splenda (or to taste)
  • • 2 large avocados
  • • Lowfat whipped topping

INSTRUCTIONS
Scoop flesh out of avocados. Blend with remaining ingredients and pour into tall glasses. Garnish with whipped cream, shaved dark chocolate, and chopped mint, if desired.
For a lower-fat version, try the “No Bulk” Hulk Shake. Scoop flesh out of avocados and blend with remaining ingredients. Garnish with lowfat whipped topping.
Yield: Two to four servings
