Brown Sugar Ice Cream

INGREDIENTS |
- 4 whole eggs

1 pound dark brown sugar

1/2 cup white sugar

2 tablespoons cornstarch
-
1 quart milk, scalded

1 quart half-and-half
-
1/2 pint whipping cream
-
1 tablespoon vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS |
Beat eggs, sugar, and cornstarch. Add hot milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until it thickens. Cool. Stir in vanilla and whipping cream.
Pour mixture into freezer can. Use half-and-half to fill freezer 2/3 full. Freeze according to manufacturer’s directions. Makes 1 gallon. |
