Southern Fried Chicken

INGREDIENTS |
- 1 1/2 cups flour

1 teaspoon black pepper

2 teaspoons paprika

2 teaspoons salt

11/2 teaspoons chicken seasoning

2 eggs, beaten

1 (3-inch) cinnamon stick

1 whole chicken, cut up for frying

1 cup melted butter
-
1 cup honey
-
1/2 cup lemon juice

INSTRUCTIONS |
Mix first five ingredients together in bowl. Butter bottom and sides of a glass cooking dish. Dip pieces of chicken in egg; roll in flour mixture. Place in dish skin side up. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes. Combine butter, honey, and juice on top of chicken mixture. Reduce heat to 350° and cook for 40 minutes more or until done. The cook says: My mom gave me this recipe a few years ago. Everyone seems to love it. |
