Meats & Seafood - Teriyaki Burgers



INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 2 green onions, finely sliced
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped green pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped water chestnuts
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 4 teaspoons water
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • Generous pinch of ground ginger
  • Basting sauce:
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce

INSTRUCTIONS
Mix together lightly all the ingrediens except those for basting sauce. Shape into patties; broil or pan-fry as desired. Just before hamburgers are done, brush with basting sauce and cook for a few minutes longer.
