Meats & Seafood - Beef So Easy



INGREDIENTS
  • 2 pounds sirloin, cubed
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large onion, coarsely chopped
  • 1 medium green pepper, coarsely chopped
  • 2 packages brown gravy mix
  • 3 1/4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons Kitchen Bouquet seasoning
  • 2 large white potatoes
  • 1 (12-ounce) package enriched extra-wide egg noodles

INSTRUCTIONS
Coat a deep-dish 2 1/2-quart casserole dish with olive oil and place beef in dish. Salt and pepper beef. Generously shake Worcestershire sauce over beef.

Place chopped onion and green pepper over beef. Mix gravy mix with 3 1/4 cups water; add Kitchen Bouquet seasoning and mix well. Pour over beef.

Peel and slice each potato into six long slices and place around meat mixture in casserole. Cover tightly and bake at 400° for one hour. Turn heat down to 350° and cook for two hours.

Prepare egg noodles according to package directions. Serve beef over hot noodles.
