Meats & Seafood - Marinated Grilled Pork Chops

  • 1/3 cup lemon-lime soda
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 21/2 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Accent seasoning
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 6 (1-inch thick) pork chops

Combine first eight ingredients in a glass or plastic container. Add pork chops; cover and marinate in refrigerator for six to eight hours.
Remove chops from marinade. Grill five or six inches from coals for 35 to 40 minutes or until well done, turning frequently and basting with marinade.

Note: This marinade is also good for steaks.
