Cookies and Candy - Mom’s Frozen Cookies

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons cream
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 cup nuts of your choice

Cream margarine, sugars, and eggs. Add cream. Mix dry ingredients together, then add to first mixture. Add coarsely chopped nuts (I prefer black walnuts).
Form dough into loaves that are 3 inches x 1 1/2 inches x 10 inches. Wrap in wax paper and freeze.
When ready to bake, remove from freezer and slice thin. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 15 to 20 minutes at 350°.
