Combine first five ingredients until crumbly. Press half of mixture into a greased and floured 9-x-13-inch pan, reserving other half for the top.
Place cheese over the crumbs. Combine apples with sugar and cinnamon; place on top of cheese. Sprinkle reserved crumbs over apples and top with walnuts.
Serve with whipped topping or ice cream. Store in refrigerator.
