Jim’s Portobello BLT with Cheese

Ingredients

  • 4 strips bacon
  • 4 slices Portobello mushrooms
  • 2 slices toasted wheat bread
  • Mayonnaise
  • 2 to 3 pieces torn lettuce
  • 1 beefsteak tomato, sliced
  • 1 slice Swiss cheese

Instructions


Fry bacon until semi-crispy. Sauté mushrooms in the bacon drippings. Spread
mayonnaise on both slices of bread. Layer bread with mushrooms, bacon, lettuce, tomato slices, and cheese. Serve with dill pickle spears and potato chips.
Yield: One sandwich.
