Molded Waldorf Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 11/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 cups tart apples, diced
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced
  • 1/4 cup pecans, chopped

Instructions


Mix gelatin, sugar, and salt thoroughly in a small sauce pan. Add 1/2 cup of the water. Stir over low heat until gelatin is dissolved. Remove from heat; stir in remaining water and lemon juice. Chill mixture until thickened. Fold in apples, celery, and pecans. Pour into a decorative 6-cup mold or bowl. Chill until firm.
