Praline Peach Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 quart peach pie filling
  • Instructions


    in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add buttermilk and stir just until moistened. If needed, add more buttermilk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until dough clings together. Turn onto a floured surface; knead gently six to eight times. Roll into a 12-x-8-inch rectangle.
    Combine butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and pecans; spread over dough to within 1/2 inch of edges. Starting with long side, roll up jellyroll-style. Cut into 12 pieces.
    Place pie filling in a 9-x-13-inch pan. Place rolls on top. Bake at 400ยบ for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
