Cheese Krispies

Ingredients

  • 1 (10-ounce) package sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 pound butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper
  • 2 cups flour, sifted
  • 2 heaping cups crisped rice cereal
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions


Soften butter and mix with flour and grated cheese. Mix salt, red pepper, and cereal. Combine with cheese mixture. With hands, roll into marble-size balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork and bake at 350° until slightly browned, about 18 minutes.
