INGREDIENTS |
- 2 pounds ground lean beef

1 1/2 cups chopped onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

4 tablespoons chili powder

2 teaspoons cocoa powder (do not omit)

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 tablespoon ground cumin

1 tablespoon sugar

1 (15 1/2-ounce) can tomato sauce

INSTRUCTIONS |
In a heavy pan, brown beef, stirring to break up; drain grease. Add onion and garlic. Cook and stir until onion is tender. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer over low heat for one hour, stirring occasionally. |
