Prepare cake batter as directed on package and fold in cup macadamia nuts. Bake, according to directions, in a 13-x-9-inch pan. Cool.
In a bowl, prepare pudding with 1 cup milk. Add softened cream cheese; beat until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread on top of cake. Sprinkle evenly with remaining cup macadamia nuts, pineapple, cherries, and coconut. Cut into squares and refrigerate.
Yield: 18-24 squares.
