Georgia Pork Barbecue

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup catsup
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground oregano
  • 4 to 6 cloves garlic, sliced thin
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 4 pounds country-style pork spareribs
  • Instructions


    Combine catsup, vinegar, oregano, garlic, salt, paprika, pepper, chili powder, and sugar in saucepan; mix well and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes. Arrange spareribs in shallow baking dish; pour sauce over ribs. Bake, covered, at 350ยบ for 2 hours; remove cover. Bake an additional 20 minutes.
    Yield: Six servings.
