Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Whisk together water, egg yolks, and butter. Pour into dry ingredients, stirring with a few quick strokes to form a lumpy batter. Stir in sausage, potatoes, and apples. Place egg whites in medium-size bowl and beat until stiff. Using a rubber spatula, gently fold egg whites into batter. Spoon onto hot, greased waffle iron. Cook until done. Serve with apple slices, butter, and honey.
