Honey Corn Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour, sifted
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup yellow corn meal
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons honey

Instructions


Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Add corn meal. Combine egg, milk, butter, and honey. Pour into flour mixture and stir until just moistened. Pour into buttered pan and bake at 425° for about 20 minutes. Serve hot.
Yield: Nine three-inch squares.
