Cream margarine and shortening, adding sugar gradually. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift together three times the flour, baking powder, cocoa, and salt. Add to mixture alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Pour batter into a large tub pan that has been greased and dusted with flour. Bake at 325° for one hour and 30 minutes.
