Sweet and Sour Meat Loaf

Ingredients

  • 1½ to 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (15½ ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Instructions


    Combine beef, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, onion, and half of tomato sauce. Form a loaf and bake at 350º for 50-60 minutes. Pour off grease. In a sauce pan, combine remaining tomato sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard, and white sugar. Bring to a boil. Pour over the meat loaf and bake another 10 minutes.
