Mix milk and cornmeal in a pan; cook and stir over medium heat until very thick. Stir into eggs. Stir in salt, pepper, onion, and 1 cup cheese. Pour into baking dish so mixture is about 11/2 inches thick; chill. Remove from baking pan and cut into pieces. Place on greased baking dish. Brush with butter and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Yield: Six servings.
