Bacon Cheese Burgers

Submitted By: Edith Weldon

Ingredients

  • 4 strips bacon
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • Salt and pepper
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 11/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese

Instructions

Cook bacon, set aside. In a large mixing bowl combine egg, ketchup, Worcestershire Sauce, salt and pepper. Add in ground beef, cheese, and crumbled bacon. Measure out all the completed mixture.
Pat out the burgers (I use a Tupperware hamburger press for this). Cut wax paper into 4-inch squares and place two pieces between patties to freeze.
Cook on the grill for 7-8 minutes per side, or until it is fully cooked. Makes 6-7 burgers.
Tip: If you use your thumb to make an indention on top of the burger, it won’t swell up when you cook it.
