Barbecued Grilled Chicken

Ingredients

  • 3 to 5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 11/2 cups ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 3 teaspoons liquid smoke, optional
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons onion salt
  • 1 clove garlic, optional
  • Instructions


    Mix all ingredients, except chicken, and bring to a boil. Pour over chicken and cook for 10 minutes in a kettle or pan; cover and allow chicken to sit for one hour. Finish cooking chicken on grill. If you’re in a hurry, cook chicken for 30 minutes then finish on grill.
    Cook marinade for 5 minutes; add finished chicken and leave in marinade until ready to serve.
