Wonderful Chocolate Syrup Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • Dash of salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3/4 cup chocolate syrup
  • 3/4 cup pecans, chopped
  • Icing:
  • 1/2 stick butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 teaspoons cocoa
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Instructions


    In a mixing bowl, beat eggs until fluffy. Add sugar and salt; beat until creamy.
    Add melted butter and flour alternately, mixing well. Add chocolate syrup and vanilla. Blend well, gradually adding chopped pecans.

    Spray a 9-inch square pan with nonstick cooking spray. Pour mixture into pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

    Icing:
    In a mixing bowl, combine butter and cocoa. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing well with milk (adding more milk if needed). Add chopped pecans. Mix for one minute. Spread over brownies.
