Cheesy Mushroom Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup shortening
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1/3 cup shredded cheese

Instructions


Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in shortening and add soup to make a soft dough. Divide into two equal parts. Roll out half of dough on a floured board and sprinkle with cheese. Roll out the other half and place on top of cheese. Cut out biscuits and bake at 450º until brown. Yield: 2 dozen.
