Breads, Rolls, and Muffins - Poppy Seed Bread

  • 3 cups self-rising flour
  • 2 1/4 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons poppy seed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons each vanilla, butternut, and almond flavoring
  • Glaze:
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of each above flavorings

In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, eggs, milk, oil, poppy seed, and flavorings. Pour into two greased loaf pans.

Combine powdered sugar, orange juice, and flavorings. Pour over batter in pans.

Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. For the last 15 minutes, lightly cover each pan with aluminum foil.
