Sandwiches - Breakfast Sandwiches

  • 12 slices of bread
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 6 slices ham
  • 6 slices cheese, any type
  • 3 cups milk
  • 6 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Grease a 13-x-9-inch glass baking dish. Butter one side of each slice of bread. Place six slices of bread, buttered side down, in bottom of baking dish. Layer one slice of ham and one slice of cheese on each slice of bread. Top with other six slices of bread, buttered side up.
Mix and beat eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Pour over the sandwiches and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
Yield: Six sandwiches.
